Skin Care
There are a gazillion skin care products on the market! Many are very toxic, toxic enough to cause cancer and other horrible diseases. I'd like to take this page to give you a basic list of chemicals that you should be aware of. There are a few good lines of cosmetics and skin care products that are all natural and chemical and preservative free. Don't be fooled by "all natural" because crude oil is natural, that doesn't mean that you should put it on your skin.

Your skin is the largest organ of your body and it does absorb toxins and put them into your bloodstream, just as effectively as eating them would. I'm sure that many of you have heard the saying "If you wouldn't eat it, don't put it on your skin!" I'll stand behind that 100%.

I must confess that I am in transition myself in this arena. In the past I've justified using "The normal stuff," because I do a lot of cleansing. I use all of the modalities that I promote, but the more I learn about all of the chemicals in personal care products, the more difficult it becomes to continue this foolish practice.

Here are two websites that can help you identify what to avoid in skin care products. I am not affliated with either of these organizations and cannot know when they change their links. Sorry if it comes out funky.

Most of the products that we us at Alternatives fall into the completely natrural range or very close to it. There are a few products that we have not been able to find that are totally pure that will accomplish what we want them to. We're still working on finding them.

Our facial products are all safe, and natural! If you can't or don't want to convert to the all natural products, please remember to cleanse the toxins from your body. That is the only way that you can combat all of the damage that is being pumped into your body!!
